I innocently rented The Strangers last night, expecting it to be just another typical hack and slash horror. I was wrong. Waaaay wrong.
If you like horror/thriller movies, and you haven’t seen this yet, RENT IT. You’ll never look at a record player the same way again.

This is the infamous “Sookie Getting Punched” animated GIF from Jersey Shore, MTV’s newest show centered around filming the real life of whores and douchebags.
The incident happened on August 19, 2009 at the Beachcomber Bar & Grill in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The guy is named Brad Ferro, and according to TMZ, he was arrested, fined $500, and given 6 months probation. The girl is Nicole Polizzi, er, SNOOKI, and she allegedly got punched because she wouldn’t let Brad take her drink.

It made me uneasy, which is hard to do because I love horror flicks and watch them tons. I think it was the masks that tripped me out. I’m not a mask girl. I don’t like them. And that whole deadpan “because you were home” just made my skin crawl. It had a lot of typical horror flick moments in it, but not so many that it left you feeling ripped off. Plus I thought Liv Tyler was a good choice. Normally I am rooting for the girl to get killed as quickly as possible, but she was likeable and not squealy girl annoying.
