Michael Stipe’s New Lacoste Polo

Michael Stipe, the lead singer of REM, recently designed a new polo shirt for Lacoste. It’s supposed to depict a crowd at a stadium concert from the perspective of a performer on the stage. I think it’s hideous, but your mileage may vary:

Funny post! Loved the Sarah Palin one (yes yes I am in the Obama camp). I have to say, I think that Michael Stipe polo shirt is really really ugly. I don’t like it at all. It is a fun picture but I have a lot of fun pictures that I like to look at… BUT NOT WEAR.

You know why Lacoste put it on that red background? Because they had to. Because the shirt is fuckin’ disgusting looking and they had to do something to try to make it look cooler. I’m a Michael Stipe / REM fan but that’s just wrong.
Though I must say, the Janet Jackson comparison really made me laugh my ass off!

This are so great! thanks. I worked on this project for about a year and seeing this made me laugh masses.
BTW it’s on a red background because the original shirt was made in red for vision, http://www.visionaireworld.com Lacoste will only sell grey white green and fuschia.

I’m with Gail. Polo shirts are super GAY! And not in a good way. Who wants to wear a black and white photo??? Two thumbs down.

I am fundamentally opposed to pictures printed on shirts with collars. It makes me feel woozy in a bad way.
