All Steve & Barry’s stores going out of business

Back in July, we told you Steve & Barry’s filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Today, the Wall Street Journal is reporting the company “is set to announce this week it will go out of business.” All 5,000 employees will be let go, and all the stores will be closing.
I guess that explains this sign I saw hanging in the window of my local Steve & Barrys:

I can not say I am surprised. They put up too many stores too quickly. Who do they think they are? Starbucks?! I made the mistake of buying one hoodie there last year and the damn thing fell apart in 2 weeks. Bye bye Steve and Barrys, one step above K-Mart if you ask me.

I have a few of the Bitten button front shirts and they faded after like 2 washings. You really do get what you pay for. Someone gave me one of the cheap screen printed tee’s for Christmas last year and Leanna I agree with you, I washed it 3 times and it STILL Smells like nasty screen print! So gross. I sold it on eBay for $1.
