TONIGHT ON AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL… McKey won the whole darn thing! Here’s what you missed:
The final 3 girls (Analeigh, McKey, and Samantha) filmed another live Cover Girl commercial. This time, they actually had to (gasp) MEMORIZE their lines. Analeigh completely choked, and as a result, was sent home.
2. During panel, Tyra had on a HIDEOUS black dress, with oversized pointed Star Trek shoulders. She was clearly using the old “increase shoulder size to make the waist look smaller” trick your mother swore by in the 80s.
Then, last year’s annoying plus-size winner Whitney appeared in yet another Cover Girl commercial, looking awfully Debbie Gibson a la Electric Youth:
Finalists McKey and Samantha competed in a lame runway challenge that looked more like a DOG AGILITY course:
Back to panel for judging, and yet ANOTHER pointy-shouldered, waist-inducing dress from Tyra:
In the most underwhelming finale EVER, Tyra named McKey the winner.
That’s it for this season – we’ll see you in ‘09 for ANTM cycle 12!

Love the recap! I thought Analeigh was going to win this whole time. No one I knew picked McKey. I’m shocked she won. But then again I say that every year.

I’m glad Mckey won! I liked her more than most of the other girls. Sure she was really toe up when she started the competition but she’s come a long way. Good luck McKey
I also noticed Tyra’s crazy pointed-shoulder dresses (who could MISS THEM!?) Tyra, girl, you look ridiculous.

Analeigh was my hope for the show. I am very disappointed that she was eliminated on such lame grounds. It seemed very strange that she had her face criticized when, if anything she brought a fresh look to high fashion. Mckey’s look, while nice, has been very overdone in the past 5 years. Too bad. Best wishes, Analeigh… I’m sure someone realizes the mistake they made on ANTM.

I thought McKey was a strong contender from the first episode, even though she looked mildly mentally handicapped (is that pc enough?). Annaleigh was who I rooted for, but since she was actually a normal looking attractive girl, I knew she didn’t stand a chance in hell.
The final 2 between Sam (wtf?) and McKey was a no brainer. I don’t even know how Sam was there. I kept forgetting she was on the show.
That runway was friggin retarded. Having to RUN up that pepto bismol ramp before you even start was not just challenging (if that’s what they were even going for), it made the models look stupid as hell.
Yes, I will be watching next season. I don’t give up on my bad reality television. I cling to it. Plus I can’t wait to see just how bad Tyra can dress. And I can never get enough “smile with your eyes” lessons.
ps: I haven’t looked all over the site, but am I the only one that notice that Whitney *really* packed on a few pounds since we saw her last? I guess she was too big to model and too small to be a plus sized model. She’s gained a good 30+ lbs since the end of last season. I still think she’s pretty. I still want to stab her in the throat because of her voice.

She surely stands out every challenge…..
Have you noticed that she came out of her shell
and made it through the finals as a result…..wow what an achevement!!!!
