It’s winter… it’s cold… stay inside and curl up with some new books! This week we’re giving away some great reading material. One winner will get a copy of:
1) DUMPED: Fun and Games Activity Book by Josh Lewis. I played with this for an hour – and I loved it. For anyone who has been on the receiving end of the classic: “I think we should just be friends,” or the all-time favorite “it’s not you, it’s me,” DUMPED! will exorcise your breakup demons. The activity book will guide you through the din of post-breakup mazes, mad-libs, fill in the blanks, and games. You can find more info or purchase the book at Amazon.com or a local bookstore near you.
2) Esquire’s Handbook Of Style: A Man’s Guide To Looking Good. A fantastic, hard-covered style guide. Every guy should dress like the style greats, but, unfortunately, not all of them do. Using a pragmatic, highly illustrated approach, THE HANDBOOK OF STYLE provides vital (and entertaining) information on every aspect of getting dressed and grooming. Using examples from style icons from Frank Sinatra to André 3000, THE HANDBOOK OF STYLE explains why certain pieces work well together, offers guidance on wardrobe necessities, how-tos for specific styles and materials, and caring for their clothes. You can find more info or purchase the book at Amazon.com or a local bookstore near you.
3) Silver: a novel by Edward Chupack. Hardcover version. I started reading this book and didn’t put it down for 3 hours. Held captive in a cabin on his own ship, the notorious pirate Long John Silver, fever-ridden and almost blind, is on his way towards England and the hangman’s noose. Before he hangs, Long John writes SILVER, as a record of his life and times. SILVER is not the revised story of Treasure Island, but a parallel tale from the villain’s point of view and even includes new characters and buccaneers. It is the “true” and complete history of Long John Silver’s life. SILVER is a great read, the perfect gift for that pirate-lover in your life, or for anyone who always wanted to hear more from Long John in Treasure Island. You can find more info or purchase the book at Amazon.com or a local bookstore near you.
