What do you think when you see this vanity plate? If you’re a nun or a vegan (or a vegan nun), you probably read it as “I LOVE TOFU.” If you’re ANYONE ELSE, you probably read it a little differently.
The plate was banned in Colorado because state officials thought the combination of letters could be interpreted as profane. The registrant, Kelly Coffman-Lee, is a 38 year old mother who looks eerily like Mary Stuart Masterson. She said, “I feel it’s important to be expressive! TOFU is a word! There are some dirty minded people out there.” Yeah. Like everyone alive.
Bottom line: if you love TOFU to the point of mentioning it on your license plate, you need to get out more.

My favorite part of this story was her anti-global warming bumper sticker… On what looked like a SUV with an 8v engine.
Her contention that not allowing ILVTOFU for a license plate by the State was “too 1984″ for her was priceless as well. She’s an all around idiot.
