Tyra Banks And Rachael Ray are teaming up to end hunger! Here’s how it works: the two meet up at Rachael’s Food Network set, cook food all day, and then eat it in 30 minutes. See? No longer hungry. How magical.
Ok. I’m lying. They’re actually doing something good. As a board member of City Harvest, a NYC-based food rescue organization, Rachael finally felt compelled to help humans and not just dogs. In a press statement, she said, “Our country’s food pantries are empty, and as Americans we should be ashamed of that, especially as a country with so much wealth. There are epidemic proportions of people going on food stamps. It’s literally your neighbor. It could be you.” Way to work the scare tactic angle, Rachael.
Tyra Banks is on board, too. Her goal is to collect more than 20,000 cans of food from audience members before Thanksgiving, and not eat any of them. See? Damn it, I’m lying again. The food will be shipped to New York City to help the needy.
